If u r with family never visit. The restaurant and has staffs who challenge you to fight. The place is frequented by drunkards like drivers, loaders etc. The management too seem to interested in such biz so that they need not spent on aminities or qualified staff. Visit this on your own risk and a no no with family.

In the heart of Pala, next to the Meenachhil river, on what looked like a river island with a bridge, this is a neat and functional and a relatively new three star property. Its walking distance from the bus stand and the hotel is happy to arrange transport. Room rates are reasonable and were surprisingly lower than what was being offered on the net at that point. Staff speak good english and communicate well. Even though the hotel is on the riverside, views from the room are not all that exciting. Rooms are large, beds comfortable, though the one I slept in tended to sag towards the head. Switches and plug points are surprisingly well placed next to the bed head, something that even larger hotels lack. However, the room was short in places to keep things as the main desk was cluttered with electric kettles and wifi equipment making it difficult to use it as a work station. The luggage rack was small and insufficient. Wifi worked very well. Bathrooms were clean with enough toiletries. I only had an omelette and toast breakfast at the hotel which was average. Breakfast was not included in the room, which was a odd. Only three star hotels are allowed to set up bars in Kerala, so this had one on the ground floor, but away from the reception. Evenings thus were crowded, but watch and ward staff efficiently marshalled the inebriated lot. The bar was crowded with serious and regular drinkers and had very little choice. No scotch. You have an option in Kerala of ordering 90ml pegs. The bar had room service. I was pleasantly surprised to find a toddy shop next to the hotel where I had some excellent pork fry with parota, but stale coconut toddy. They seem to source both coconut and fish tail palm toddy locally and from Palakkad, but tend to mix it in the evenings.

We visited their restaurant around lunch time and ordered fish manchurian and vegetable fried rice. They added kerala fish, fried in coconut oil into a gravy of soya sauce with thick slice onion and capsicum. The fried rice was chicken fried rice instead of vegetable. We left the place after informing them.

Landed here as there were not many options in town and the other hospitality spaces happened to be pre-booked. Situated centrally, access is this property’s main strength. The approach through an old bridge though is a little unnerving. Some paint job was underway and all the common areas were not easy to hang around places. There is no ventilation in the corridors and it sports indistinct odour. The reception or lobby too could do with some fresh air or delightful fragrance. Room – Pretty neat. Has the basics in place. Clean and comfortable beds Restroom - Needs a round of thorough wash and scrub. Especially the shower cubicles. Hand towels, bath mat, hand tissues and the likes are amiss. F & B – We were forced to have a buffet breakfast as they mentioned that a-la-carte was not available for the day, though it was a weekend. Food borders between horrible to obnoxious. Failed attempt at French toast, insipid dosa’s, and zestless poori’s greeted us at the counters. Staff are not acquainted with languages other than the local one. With improvement in the gourmet department, this property has some scope to better itself.
